Lightless, lifeless Shapeless, wakeless Thoughtless, causeless Lightless, lifeless Inert space - encircling all Thoughtless, causeless Nameless and impartial Shapeless, wakeless An emptiness - the source of all Thoughtless, causeless Nameless and impartial Drifting around in a boundless dark Unaware and vast asleep Asleep without a dream A body without being Unconsciously moving Beyond the state of nothingness Onwards through stillness And born from this void We open our eyes And turn to face the light We open our hearts Ablaze with life We open our eyes And turn to face the light We open our hearts Ablaze with life

Ungrounded, lost and estranged Dazed within a trance-like state So far removed So estranged To confuse the mask For our true face A vital truth, lies obscured By illusory separation of self Open up and recall That all things resonate throughout As in one, so in each As in you, so in me Reflects the transcendent, myriadly Drifting along an endless curve In a perfect recursive symmetry But we seek with mundane eyes What we fail to see with heart But we seek with mundane eyes What we fail to see with heart

I cut through the cord that ties Us to heavenly realms I find my Self falling away from view Back into the Night Panic strangles me, I lose control Yet I cannot let go Of this traumatic experience Have I forgotten how? No word from my mouth Will reach your ears Like stones they fall From my tongue Sinking into The deep without From which nothing Does resound How can I find the way Through the dark back to my Self If there is no one here No voice or light that guides Losing all sense of direction And perception of time Like a thousand lives have passed through me In the blink of an eye

Mind and spirit cease to be Diminishing An uninvolved mechanical state Clinging onto this tremendous weight Outworn, overstrung Abandon this cell of constraints Withered, broken No longer resisting the pain Surrender the ‘I’ Allow subtleties to be felt again Dissect, observe, reflect Adapt and circulate back Into being

about

The Eternal Dance is a concept album about cycles. It features the Hindu goddess Kali on the cover, who's role in mythology is that of both a mother goddess as well as a bringer of destruction.

The album title was inspired by the idea that our lives, our ideas, and all the things that surround us are just small motions in a larger movement: a never ending dance that is the Universe. One motion ends, but a new one follows up to continue the dance. One life ends, but a new life is born.
Each song on the album represents a phase in that cycle, both lyrically as well as musically. It starts heavy and energetic, and gradually moves into a more sluggish, dragging kind of vibe.

The fifth song "Moksha"–sanskrit for liberation and freedom–represents the release from this cycle of death and rebirth and features spoken words by the 20th century zen philosopher Alan Watts, taken from a lecture about his thoughts on death.
